He's thrilled with the product. Any of you old timers, this is especially rewarding for us,pre-video tape players. My son has ALL his games on tape or DVD. . . ,I had none, until now. Way to go (Old School You). "

"For Topeka -Washburn Rural High School Old School You and Brian Richter came along at just the right time. And timing is everything.

Through a period of 1975 to present our football coaches (Ron Bowen, initially) provided space and safe storage for MANY years of football game footage. Our school had stock-piled and preserved reel-to reel film canisters dating back as far as 1958. There were complete years of FILM and VHS game tapes.

As many schools probably know, the miles of footage was simply a treasure waiting to be opened. The footage had likely not been viewed since the coaches evaluated them and put them away. They were also taking up a huge amount of space in our locker area.

I began organizing by boxing film by years and it was staggering to learn just how much footage we had. I spoke to local businesses that convert film and tape to DVDs. The price per foot to convert was astronomical. When the conversion was completed, we still would have simply had a school library of games. It seemed that more could be gained if these games could be made available to former alum / football players and their families.

A colleague of mine knew Brian Richter personally from his ties to Sterling , Kansas . The colleague contacted Brian. Soon I was communicating directly with Brian, a teacher who had taken a hobby and managed to turn what he enjoyed doing into a side business.

The long and short of this story is that our high school has a library of historical footage, but more importantly we are taking the necessary steps to let our community of alum know that the games are available through the Old School You a computer web site. Instead of tossing our history in a corner or, worse, throwing some of it away, it is now accessible to virtually EVERYONE. A by-product is that schools we competed with will also be able to take advantage of this archive and relive some of their past as well."

Chris Ridley, Assistant Principal , Topeka-Washburn Rural High School

"...got the discs and have been watching them.  My brother-in-law was visiting this weekend from Derby and he played against me in the 76' Phillipsburg game.  We watched it and really had a good time reliving old times and memories.  Our wives got out the old yearbooks to remember who was which number.  They were both Cheerleaders for Phillipsburg.  I had more fun watching and reliving that game, and I think our wives and kids all really enjoyed us watching the game."

Again, thanks for helping us relive the memories.

"After struggling and failing to convert and edit mini-disc files into a quality recruiting DVD, we called Old School You.  In a matter of two days, Brian delivered a well-organized video that really showed my sister's pitching skills.  Old School You provided us with top-notch customer service and satisfaction guaranteed.  The best part...the DVD was a big success and we had calls and emails from collegiate coaches within days of sending out the video!"
Elizabeth Schmidt, Maize, Kansas

"I felt very comfortable putting my old VHS home movies into Brian's hands so they could be digitized. Keeping those old memories safe was important to me. I really didn't want to send my tapes off to some big company for fear they might lose them and I had some questions I needed answered. Once I'd visited with Brian and he answered my questions I was sure he would take excellent care of the only copy of my video memories. He did a great job on the conversion and returned my memories safe and sound without delay."
Sally Haggerty, Sterling, Kansas

"As a wishbone coach I was looking for older game tape of Smith Center to learn a little more about the "Barta Bone" and thanks to OLDSCHOOLYOU I was able to get the game tape I needed to study this fun offense.
